Welcome to the community forum where you can engage, share, and learn about food in Louisville with others around the city!

Why:

As a community coalition, Food in Neighborhoods hopes to provide many ways for people to interact, share resources and ideas, and discuss issues and solutions to improve our regional food system.  We’re glad you’re here and hope you will connect with the community in this forum, at a meeting, and in your neighborhood.


How:

  • Login:  Create a username and password to begin posting!  You will have the option to add your e-mail address in case you forget your password and need help resetting it in the future.
  • Post:  Share your thoughts, events, ideas, resources and more!  This forum is community-driven and needs YOU to keep the conversation going.
  • Comment:  Read other people’s posts and share your thoughts, share additional information
  • Vote: To “up-vote” a post, click on the triangle to the left of the post.  This will let other people see which posts are most helpful or popular.
  • Search: Type in key words in the search bar to find certain posts within the forum.
  • View: There are 5 forum topics that you can apply to a post and view.  The default view shows all posts.  Click on the different headings to see posts sorted by topic.

News

Share and discuss community food system articles, reports, studies, new projects, policy updates, etc.

Events

Post details about volunteer opportunities, meetings, celebrations, garden plot sign ups, Fresh Stop dates, farmers market dates, community potlucks, etc.

Swap

Post here about needing tools, looking for a good home for your extra tomato starts, needing sources for compost, cardboard, native plants, etc.

Ideas

Use this space to share your ideas about FIN projects, as a sounding board for research projects, to have conversations about ways to solve problems in the food system, etc.
